Meet our newly engaged couple, Rebecca and Michael, and follow us through a fun and exciting Boston Engagement Photoshoot. We stopped at some of their favorite locations in the city, such as Beacon Hill and Boston’s Public Garden, and I loved to hear all bout their love story and journey.

The LOCATIONs

Boston holds a special significance for Rebecca and Michael, as it is the city where they lived together for the first time. They wanted to capture the emotions and memories from those times in a place that symbolizes the beginning of their journey.

We decided to start our walk in the timeless neighborhood of Beacon Hill. Our first spot was 1928 Beacon Hill, a restaurant and bar with a speakeasy style space, in a cozy, antique filled atmosphere. The idea was to capture their spark and joy being themselves just as if they were on one of their dates.

I contacted 1928 Beacon Hill in advance to make sure they were okay with us photographing in their restaurant. The staff was not only happy to help us with our session, but even offered to let us enter before opening hour so that we would have more privacy and full usage of the space.

Next, we walked around the neighborhood toward the Boston Public Garden, stopping at some of my favorite streets and spots along the way like W Cedar St and DeLuca’s Market.

The day was a bit gloomier than we anticipated, but by the time we reached the Boston Public Garden, the sun made a very welcoming appearance. This is my favorite time of year for sessions at the park, so I was very excited that Rebecca and Michael wanted to stop by here.

We honestly had so much fun, and Rebecca and Michael even practiced some moves for their first dance. I often like to step away from the couples and let them just be themselves and suck in these moments while I photograph. You’d be surprised at how their feelings and emotions come to light. How could they not? They’re getting married!

Rebecca and Michael’s engagement session came to an end at the Commonwealth Ave and I couldn’t help but feel blessed for being able to capture moments like these.
